About us
An African, Caribbean and Latin American grocery, open to everyone, every day from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Our story
Our name comes from Mvog-Mbi, a neighbourhood of Yaoundé known for its big market, where people come from all over the city and far beyond to shop, chat and trade.
That is the spirit we wanted to bring to 3071 boulevard Portland: a place where everyone finds the products of their home country and discovers those of others. Along the aisles, families from Central and West Africa meet families from the Caribbean, Latin America and Québec.
Today, over 2,000 products fill our shelves, from fresh plantains to smoked fish, from flours to beauty care.

In our aisles
Fresh produce, fish, spices, drinks, beauty and braiding hair: a glimpse of what awaits you at 3071 boulevard Portland.
A crossroads of cultures
Four great cuisines share our aisles. People come for the products of their childhood and leave with a recipe learned from a neighbour of another culture.
Ndolé, eru, pondu, cassava sticks, cocoyam, safou, Penja pepper.
West AfricaAttiéké, gari, egusi, red palm oil, smoked fish, placali.
CaribbeanHot spices and chilies, plantains, condiments, drinks and malts.
Latin AmericaBeans, corn flours, sauces, empanadas and Latin drinks.
Why us
Africans, Caribbeans, Latin Americans, curious Quebecers: at the market, every culture meets and mingles.
Fresh, dry, frozen, drinks and beauty: one trip fills the basket.
